PROJECT HANDPRINT SYMPOSIUM: International Perspectives on Food and Water

When: Wednesday, November 4, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Location: Tishman Commons, Lulu Chow Wang Campus Center, Wellesley College

Cost: Suggested $25 registration includes dinner. Additional donations enable students to attend free of charge – thank you.

Join faculty, students and alums working around the world on issues relating to food and water, environmental sustainability, and justice. Your handprint is your positive environmental impact. The Wellesley Center for the Environment’s Project Handprint is creating a powerful learning community focused on environmental issues. This symposium brings together alumnae, faculty, staff, students and Friends who are interested in improving food systems, from production through consumption. Be inspired to expand your handprint!

Tuesday, October 20

  • Boston’s celebrity chefs unpack dining innovation, 5-7 p.m., Olin Auditorium (Olin Hall)

Wednesday, October 21

  • Food business leaders discuss the future of food, 8–9 a.m., Glavin Chapel
  • Food thought leaders share their food stories, 10 a.m.–noon, Glavin Chapel
  • Babson food entrepreneurs showcase their innovations over a sustainably sourced lunch, noon–2 p.m., PepsiCo Pavilion
  • Babson food entrepreneurs source audience ideas at the Quick Service Incubator, 2-4 p.m., Glavin Chapel

At Food Sol, Babson’s own “action tank” for food entrepreneurs of all kinds, we believe that “food is everybody’s business” and that everyone can contribute to a brighter food future.  Babson Food Day is free (with the exception of a small fee for lunch for non-Babson community members), open to the public, and no registration is required.  It’s come-when-you-can, leave-when-you-need-to, just get there early for sessions where you definitely want a seat!   So come take part in our recipe for good food innovation, and we look forward to meeting you at Babson Food Day!
